The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced on Wednesday that they had conducted two drone strikes targeting critical sites in "Israel" in support of the Palestinian people amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The operations are part of the "fifth stage of the supportive stages in the battle of the promised conquest and the holy jihad."

According to the statement, the first strike targeted "a vital and sensitive target of the Israeli enemy in the occupied area of Yafa," successfully achieving its objectives.

The second operation focused on "the industrial zone of the Israeli enemy in the occupied area of Askalan," where a drone reportedly struck its target with precision.

The YAF noted that these actions were conducted to "support and back the oppressed Palestinian people" and to retaliate against the massacres in Gaza.

They vowed that "these operations will not stop until the aggression on Gaza is halted and the siege is lifted."

Additional missile strike confirmed

Earlier in the day, YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree revealed that the missile force launched a hypersonic ballistic missile, the Palestine-2, targeting an Israeli military site in the occupied area of Yafa.

Saree confirmed the operation was successful, describing it as a response to Israeli actions in Gaza and aggression toward Yemen.

The strikes are the latest in a series of long-range operations by the YAF targeting Israeli sites.

On Tuesday, the YAF's missile force struck another military target in Yafa using the Palestine-2 hypersonic missile.

Saree stated that the operation was in solidarity with Palestinians and their resistance and was a direct response to Israeli crimes in Gaza.

Israeli response

Israeli Reserve Brigadier General Eran Ortal acknowledged the growing challenge posed by Yemen, stating, "We are at the beginning of a new era that requires us to rethink Israel's policy and the army's strategy to confront a group of threats."

In an interview with Davar, Ortal noted that Yemen's ongoing engagement in the battle against Israel strengthens their position on multiple levels.

He remarked, "Sanaa remains on the battlefield against 'Israel,' while others have become less active, making them 'the only ones who continue to fight against Israel.'"

The YAF's operations mark a significant escalation in the broader regional conflict, with Yemen positioning itself as a key player in the resistance against Israel.

The strikes have triggered sirens in illegal settlements and the occupied West Bank, further heightening tensions across the region.

The YAF reiterated their readiness to confront "Israeli-American-British aggression," framing their actions as a religious and moral duty to support the Palestinian people.
