Yemeni Army downs second Emirati spy plane
Brigadier General of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Yahya Saree, announces the downing of a UAE spy plane in the airspace of Ain District with locally-made surface-to-air-missiles.
The Yemeni Army spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced the downing of a UAE spy plane over the Ain district in Shabwa governorate.
Saree said that the armed plane was shot down using locally-manufactured surface-to-air missiles.
Last Wednesday, the Yemeni armed forces shot down an armed spy plane as it carried out hostile acts in the airspace of the Usaylan district of Shabwa governorate in Yemen.
The spokesman confirmed in a tweet that a UAE plane was also shot down by a locally-manufactured surface-to-air missile.
In the last 24 hours, the Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched 55 airstrikes on the governorates of Shabwa, Marib, Saada, Hodeidah and Al-Jawf.
