Yemeni Forces Approaching Ma'rib City: Expert
The air defenses of the Yemeni Forces are advancing more smoothly in repelling the Saudi aggression in Ma'rib, and the Sana'a forces do not want to arbitrarily enter the city, so they are being cautious and taking everything into consideration.
Yemeni military and political affairs expert Brigadier General Abdul Ghani al-Zubaidi told Al Mayadeen that Sana'a forces air defenses are improving in repelling the Saudi aggression on Ma'rib.
"The Yemeni Forces and Popular Committees are approaching Ma'rib, and most fighters from seven southern districts in Ma'rib have joined the armed forces to combat the Saudi aggression," al-Zubaidi added.
The expert reflected on the advances the Sana'a forces are making, noting that they are advancing more smoothly following the liberation of al-Rish Camp in Ma'rib.
Al-Zubaidi also highlighted how the Yemeni people in Ma'rib are pressuring the Hadi-led forces to avoid combat in the city.
"We now have air defenses capable of downing the aircraft of the Saudi coalition forces during combat," he asserted.
Military affairs expert Charles Abi Nader spoke to Al Mayadeen about the strategic significance of downing Saudi aircraft in battle, highlighting how that strategy blinds the coalition and forces it to intensify air raids on the al-Falj point south of Ma'rib due to its significance.
"The Yemeni Army and Popular Committees are maneuvering three axes in Ma'rib to keep the Saudi coalition occupied, and liberating Ma'rib is a turning point, for it is the only northern city in which Hadi-led forces and the coalition forces are present," he added.
