Yemeni forces conduct military drills to showcase combat readiness
The maneuver included infantry units, vehicles, snipers, artillery, anti-tank units, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Third Military Region and the Al-Hazm Brigades in Yemen conducted military drills in the Sarwah district of Marib province, northeast of the capital Sanaa, under the title "Day of Allegiance".
The maneuver was attended by the Minister of Defense in the Sanaa government, Major General Mohammed Al-Atifi, the Chief of General Staff, Major General Mohammed Abdul Kareem Al-Ghamari, as well as Political Council member Mohammed Saleh Al-Naeemi and the commander of the Third Military Region, Major General Mubarak Al-Mashan Al-Zaydi.
The maneuver included infantry units, vehicles, snipers, artillery, anti-tank units, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The helicopter forces initiated the maneuver by intensively targeting hypothetical enemy positions, with significant support from the artillery. After scanning the hypothetical enemy sites, the forces launched an assault on military positions from multiple directions, advancing through open areas and successive stages.
The participating forces successfully seized all designated targets, simulating the presence of hostile and enemy aircraft.
Additionally, the military maneuver showcased the advanced capabilities and combat skills of the Yemeni armed forces in confronting invaders and occupiers.
The participating forces emphasized their combat readiness through warning messages, affirming their willingness to carry out any military operations required by the current phase in the face of any upcoming aggression.
In May of the previous year, the Yemeni Armed Forces conducted major military drills titled "Loyalty to the Martyr Leader" in the Fourth Military Region, in Taiz governorate, with the participation of Aden, Dhale, and other southern governorates in Yemen.
Another military exercise was conducted on March 23rd of this year, involving all combat units, coinciding with the ninth year of the war on Yemen. The military drills simulated an attack on various terrains, including mountains, deserts, and wooded areas, advancing from open areas.
