A senior Yemeni official has warned that retaliation for the recent Israeli aggression against Yemen's Hodeidah port will be swift, stressing that "Israel" should brace for unforeseen events in the coming days.

Ali al-Qahoum, a prominent figure in Yemen's Ansar Allah movement, stated on Tuesday that the response to the Israeli occupation's attacks on Hodeidah port last Saturday would not be postponed, and is imminent in the coming days, emphasizing that "Israel" must be prepared for unexpected events in the coming days.

"The coming days will be full of surprises," al-Qahoum, a member of Ansar Allah's political bureau said, adding that "the targets will span a wide range within occupied Palestine."

The Yemeni official also praised his country "as a key player" that has the capability to shift the balance of power in the region.

Hazem al-Assad

In a similar context, also on Tuesday, the Ansar Allah movement declared that decisive and deadly measures will be taken against the Israeli occupation, which will target the military and security installations deep within "Israel".

Hazem al-Assad, also a member of Ansar Allah's political bureau, announced that the Yemeni Armed Forces have advanced to the fifth phase of their operation, warning that rising civilian casualties will result in attacks on the strategic targets of the Israeli occupation.

Al-Assad added, "The Zionist enemy has opened the gates of hell by targeting Yemen's Hodeidah port, and the ports, military, and security centers deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories will be under the fire of the Yemeni army."

Moreover, al-Assad stressed that "Certain Arab countries have crossed the red lines by supporting the Zionist enemy, opening land corridors in lieu of the Red Sea, and opening their airspace and calling the Hamas movement terrorist. We warn them that their answer is on the way.”

He gave a clear message to "Israel" that any attack on civilians would be met with retaliation, reemphasizing that "Yemen's response to the Zionist regime's offense at Hodeidah port will be different ... an unprecedented response that will make the aggressors regret their actions."

Additionally, al-Assad in a recent post on the X cited a Qur'anic verse, stating, "Soon, we will witness a day when the sky will be melted like metal."

Israeli airstrikes in Yemen's Hodeidah Port area leave 80+ wounded

At least 87 people were reported wounded in airstrikes by Israeli jets targeting areas around Hodeidah port in Yemen, according to Al-Masirah TV last Saturday.

The Yemeni broadcaster cited sources from the Yemeni health ministry for the casualty figures.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that firefighters continue their work to put out fires and fires burning in oil storage facilities in the port of Hodeidah as a result of the Israeli aggression.
