Good Start For Barcelona Without Messi
In the opening round of the Spanish football league, Barcelona defeated Real Sociedad by a score of 4 to 2.
Barcelona won 4-2 over Real Sociedad in their first official encounter without Argentinian legend Lionel Messi. Messi had moved to play for Paris Saint-Germain in the Spanish Football League's first round.
Barcelona took the lead in the 20th minute when Gerard Pique scored, and Martin Braithwaite of Denmark added a second goal in the final seconds of the first half.
In the second half, Braithwaite scored the third goal in the 59th minute.
Julen Lobete and Mikel Oyarzabal scored goals in the 83rd and 84th minutes respectively, bringing Sociedad back into the game.
However, Barcelona advanced thanks to Sergi Roberto's fourth goal, which he scored after receiving a pass from the fantastic Braithwaite.
