The Egyptian team succeeded in reaching the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon 2021, today, Wednesday, after qualifying on penalties (5-4) at the expense of Ivory Coast in the round of 16.

The original time of the match ended in a goalless draw, so the two teams exchanged pressure throughout the match period.

The match witnessed the brilliance of Egyptian goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy, who stood in the face of the Ivory Coast national team before he came out injured.

Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny was crowned as the best player of the match.

The Egyptian team will face Morocco in the quarter-finals, in an upcoming match that will be played next Sunday at 18:00 Al-Quds Al-Sharif time.
