Over 1.4 million people entered Qatar during World Cup: WC Committee
The organizing committee of the Qatar 2022 World Cup says that more than 1.4 million people visited the Gulf nation between November 20 and December 18.
The organizing committee of the Qatar World Cup 2022 said in a statement on Sunday that the Arab Gulf nation hosting the championship has received over 1.4 million people during the sports event that is taking place from November 20 until December 18.
Qatar is the first Arab and Muslim country to hold the championship on its grounds.
"More than 1.4 million fans from across the globe have visited Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022… Cumulative attendance is set to reach 3.4 million, meaning an average attendance of 53,000 fans per match and overall capacity in excess of 96%," the statement said.

On Sunday, Today, France is aiming to become the first team since Brazil in 1962 to successfully defend the World Cup against Argentine in the final game of the series.
It's noteworthy that according to CNN sources, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky requested to share a message of world peace prior to kickoff at the World Cup final today but was rejected by FIFA.
