From $48M to just $280: 'Jack Dorsey’s First Tweet’ NFT sold at low bid
The price at which the NFT was sold did not meet anyone's expectations.
Twitter founder Jack Dorsey's NFT - which consists of the first-ever tweet on Twitter - was priced at $48 million last week, only for it to bepossibly sold for just under $280.
In March 2021, Iranian-born cryptocurrency entrepreneur Sina Estavi bought the NFT for $2.9 million. Last Thursday, Estavi announced that he wants to sell the NFT, announcing that 50% of the purchase would go to charity. On Wednesday, the auction closed down with a total of 7 offers ranging from 0.0019 ETH - which is some $6, to 0.09 ETH, which is $277.
I decided to sell this NFT ( the world's first ever tweet ) and donate 50% of the proceeds ( $25 million or more ) to the charity @GiveDirectly

“The deadline I set was over, but if I get a good offer, I might accept it, I might never sell it,” Estavi commented, speaking to CoinDesk via WhatsApp.
The entrepreneur, furthermore, only has two days to accept the bid or else it will expire.
Estavi's ventures, Bridge Oracle and CryptoLand, crumbled after he was arrested in Iran. He is currently in the middle of relaunching his token, the Bridge Oracle (BRG).
