GTA Is Back - Just not the Way You Expect It To
The nostalgia is real with this one.
Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas, three of the most successful video games to ever be released, are getting remastered in glorious HD.
This is what Rockstar Games has confirmed, corroborating rumors that have been shared for a while now.
The remastered edition will be released in a package titled Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on a multitude of platforms and consoles such as PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and most interestingly, the Nintendo Switch.
Additionally, the collection will be available for purchase in the iOS' App Store and Android's Play Store during the first half of 2022.
Rockstar assured the fans that more details regarding the exact nature of the remasters will be revealed in the upcoming weeks, but all existing versions of each title will be removed from digital storefronts next week. If you have your eyes on one of them, you better grab it now.
Released 20 years ago, GTA III is a fan-favorite game, followed by Vice City and San Andreas, where players get around using silent avatars to accomplish missions and spread mayhem in the fictional Liberty City.
Grand Theft Auto V, the latest incarnation of the game, was released eight years ago. The sixth installment is supposedly on its way but no details as to its release date were shared thus far.
