The popular websites and apps affected by the outage are reportedly recovering. Meanwhile, millions reported not being able to access their favorite content as it was locked behind an error message that prevented them from using the app and/or website.
"Many Snapchatters are having trouble using the app. Hang tight; we're working on a fix. In the meantime, we recommend staying logged in," Snapchat support said in a tweet.

The reason behind this outage was Google Cloud, and its status page still shows a networking issue is causing problems, which caused the 404 errors that appeared on affected web pages.
Later on, the status page was updated to say, "The issue with Cloud Networking is partially resolved," and users are reporting that the services are going back online, and things seem to be going back to normal.
This outage is not the first major one to hit social networking sites in the past while, as Facebook and the platforms the social media giant acquired - Instagram and WhatsApp - were hit by a sudden massive outage that caused millions to lose access to Facebook's apps and products.
Other services affected by Tuesday's blackout were Pokemon Go, Rocket League, Apex Legends, and Paramount+.
