'Flag March' stokes fire amid 'Israel's' war on Gaza
Under Israeli occupation police protection, settlers stormed occupied al-Quds' Old City during the "Jerusalem Day Flag March," commemorating the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank, eastern al-Quds, and Gaza. For this year's march, Israeli Police announced that over 3,000 officers, including border police, volunteers, and reinforcements from other settlements, will be stationed in and around the Old City on Wednesday afternoon. Additionally, the police announced numerous roads in occupied al-Quds will be closed to vehicular traffic and will gradually reopen as the parade progresses. Palestinian citizens confronted the attacks in various neighborhoods of the Old City witnessing provocations by settlers, many of whom were armed. Additionally, Israeli settlers hurled insults against Arabs, Islam, and the Prophet Muhammad.
