'I told you not to go': Broken-hearted Palestinian mother in Gaza grieves her martyred son
In Gaza, a mother held her son’s lifeless body, wailing the words she had repeated before he left, “I told you not to go.” He had gone out to find flour because starvation had taken over Gaza as a result of "Israel's" suffocating and ruthless blockade on the Strip. “Didn’t I tell you not to let your brother go?” she cried, her voice cracking as she looked at her martyred son. Now, like any other parent, she sits on the ground, her son in her arms, grief pouring from her because "Israel's" siege has turned bread into an illegal weapon of war.
