'Israel' bars two 'incredibly vocal' foreign doctors about Gaza from entering Strip
“Israel” has denied entry to two foreign physicians, American Dr. Mimi Syed and French Dr. Catherine Le Scolin-Quere, to the Gaza Strip, following direct orders from the Shin Bet security agency, Haaretz reported. The doctors had planned to volunteer in local hospitals but were informed just hours before their planned crossing that entry would be denied by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT). In an interview, Dr. Syed highlighted the growing restrictions on foreign medical staff over the past three months without ever being given a reason. She also emphasized that the aid she intended to bring in, baby formula, chicken, and tuna for infants in Gaza’s NICUs, wasn't "going to solve the starvation," yet was crucial. “I shouldn't have to smuggle in baby formula. I shouldn't have to smuggle in protein. This is not something that should be weaponized,” Dr. Syed declared.
