'Israel' uses ads to deny famine in Gaza, and tech giants allow it

In late August, just days after a UN-backed report warned of famine spreading in Gaza City, "Israel" released a sponsored ad campaign denying the crisis. The videos, promoted in multiple languages, showed scenes of food markets and restaurants but omitted critical context: the footage was taken during rare aid deliveries, and prices were far beyond reach for most Palestinians. Despite internal concerns and complaints from European authorities, platforms like Google allowed the ads to run, reaching millions. In the digital information war, disinformation isn’t just unchecked; it’s paid for.
