'Ridiculous': UN spox Dujarric slams 'Israel's' allegation of ample food in Gaza
The United Nations spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, has dismissed as "ridiculous" an allegation by "Israel" that there is enough food in Gaza to last a long time, despite the complete shutdown of all 25 bakeries supported by the World Food Programme (WFP). Back on March 2, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu halted all humanitarian aid to Gaza and ordered the closing of passages "until further notice." Then, on March 18, the Israeli occupation resumed its genocidal war on Gaza. The Israeli Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) alleged on Tuesday, March 28, that during the ceasefire, "25,200 trucks of aid and food entered Gaza in just 42 days. That is a very significant amount of aid, in just over a month, creating large stores of food and aid. There is plenty of food in Gaza."
