'Sovereignty begins with defending South Lebanon,' affirmed MP Elias Jarade

In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Lebanese MP and Ophthalmologist Elias Jarade emphasized that the people of South Lebanon have "wrested an international, national, and domestic decision" through their steadfast resistance. He described last Sunday’s events as a national and sovereign uprising, where the people defied "Israel’s" occupation and cleared the path for the Lebanese Army to reclaim its rightful positions. Jarade called on all Lebanese to unite, warning of a new global system seeking to erase dignity and sovereignty. "Sovereignty begins with defending the South," he declared, calling for national unity on February 18 to reaffirm Lebanon’s resilience.
