A Palestinian man documents the dire situation in Gaza as he records his nephew Ahmad hiding a piece of bread in his pocket. According to a report released by an international food insecurity watchdog, famine is anticipated to occur in the northern region of the Gaza Strip, where around 300,000 Palestinians are trapped due to "Israel's" war on Gaza, between this month and May. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) found that the number of people across Gaza facing “catastrophic hunger” and starvation has risen to 1.1 million, which represents about half the population.
