Albanese: Gaza City aims to'advance ethnic cleansing,' '[Israel] will probably move to WB'

At a Geneva press conference, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese warned that "Israel’s" genocidal war on Gaza is destroying whole neighborhoods using never-before-seen "unconventional" and "newly assembled weapons" to make parts of the territory unlivable. She said the assault appears aimed at "forcibly evacuating the 800,000 Palestinians who were seeking refuge there," calling it a step toward "advancing the ethnic cleansing" of the area and potentially "moving to the West Bank." Albanese insisted the Israeli strikes are "unlawful, unlawful and unlawful," while affirming that the "only legal thing that Israel can do in the occupied Palestinian territory is to move out, dismantling the settlements, withdrawing the troops, and stopping exploiting Palestinian resources." She further condemned not only "Israel's crimes" but also "the world's crime sustained by silence, complicity, and the supply of funds, weapons, and political cover."
