Around 200 Jewish activists arrested protesting Netanyahu at US Congress
Around 200 activists were arrested by the US Capitol Police inside the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, DC. Over 400 American Jews participated in demonstrations, which occurred on the day after Netanyahu’s arrival to the US, and many refused to leave voluntarily. Protesters chanted slogans like "Not in our name," "Free Palestine," and "Arms embargo now," expressing opposition to the arming of "Israel" and protesting what they described as genocide in Gaza. US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have a meeting at the White House on July 25, according to a statement released by Netanyahu's office on July 23. Donald Trump, on the other hand, said that he will meet Netanyahu on July 26 at his Palm Beach, Florida, resort.
