Chinese Lieutenant General Jing Jianfeng criticized US double standards

Jing Jianfeng, the deputy chief of the Joint Staff Department of China's Central Military Commission, slammed the United States for its hypocrisy and double standards in employing "rules and orders" during a press briefing of the Chinese Defense Ministry's delegation on the sidelines of the 21st IISS Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. Jing also stated that the Chinese and US militaries should strengthen cooperation to stabilize bilateral relations, adding, "We hope that the US side will match its words with deeds, earnestly adhere to the principles of valuing peace, stability, and trust, strengthen exchanges and advance cooperation to explore a right way that serves the common interests of both sides and meets the expectations of the world."
