Escalating tensions before Trump's return to power

In an interview with Al Mayadeen, strategic affairs expert Seyyed Mohammad Marandi highlighted a coordinated effort by Trump’s political opponents to escalate tensions globally before he assumes office. Marandi pointed out that the Biden administration and European allies are intensifying support for Ukraine’s Zelensky to hinder Trump from pursuing meaningful negotiations with Russia. Similarly, he noted efforts to provoke heightened tensions with Iran, aiming to restrict Trump’s foreign policy options. Regarding Syria, Marandi criticized the actions of the United States, "Israel", Turkey, and Qatar, asserting that these moves were designed to complicate Trump’s potential Middle East policies.
