Fadwa Mahmoud, an opponent of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has openly condemned Syria’s Ahmad al-Sharaa's "de facto authority" at a protest in Berlin for failing to deliver justice. Mahmoud recalled how Syria's new authorities ignored the families' pleas as they demanded answers for the whereabouts of their children. "Even when families of detainees and the missing tried to meet with him, just to hear a single word, they had to go employ their connections just to get a meeting," she revealed. "It’s clear that these people have no sense of humanity." Now, she declared her opposition to Al-Sharaa’s government, vowing to "continue to oppose them until the very last moment until justice is finally served in Syria"
