Figures in History: Martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine

Following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sayyed Hashem was designated as the new Secretary-General of Hezbollah. However, before he could officially take the helm, "Israel" launched an intense attack on Beirut’s Southern Suburb on October 3, 2024. His martyrdom was confirmed a month later. On this day, as Sayyed Hashem Safieddine is laid to rest in his hometown of Deir Qanoun in South Lebanon, let us remember his significant role in the Resistance and reflect on who he was.
