Freed Gaza journalist Shadi Abu Sido: ‘If you die once a day, we die a thousand times'

In a state of shock, freed Palestinian photojournalist Shadi Abu Sido, who was kidnapped on March 18, 2024, during the Israeli raid on Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, recounted the harrowing ordeal of imprisonment in Israeli jails. "If you die once a day, we die a thousand times each day," he said, describing the Israeli torture and inhumane conditions, such as not knowing the day, hour, or date, losing all sense of sleep or the taste of food, and being subjected to water splashed on them in the middle of the night, alongside every imaginable form of abuse.
