Freed Naji al-Jaafarawi breaks down over his brother Saleh al-Jaafarawi's martyrdom

Freed Palestinian detainee Naji al-Jaafarawi broke down in tears at his father’s feet upon learning that his brother, Saleh al-Jaafarawi, had been martyred by Israeli collaborators. Naji’s long-awaited freedom, following years of detention in Israeli prisons, was met not with celebration but with unbearable grief. In his will, martyr Saleh had written of his deep longing to reunite with his brother, describing Naji as his "brother, teacher, and lifelong companion," a reunion that never came to be.
