Illegal Israeli outposts surge to 196 across the West Bank, a BBC analysis says
Illegal Israeli outposts in the occupied West Bank are surging, with 196 of them now scattered across the occupied territory, according to a BBC investigation. A staggering 29 of these outposts were established last year, marking the highest number ever recorded. Although illegal under both Israeli and international law, the settlements are linked to increased settler violence and harassment of Palestinians, particularly since the beginning of "Israel's" war on Gaza. Moreover, backed by government-affiliated organizations like Amana, these illegal structures serve as a strategic tool to seize Palestinian land through intimidation, violence, and brute force.
