In a statement, UNIFIL announced that on November 7, two excavators and one bulldozer belonging to Israeli occupation forces destroyed part of a fence and a concrete structure in its position in Ras al-Naqoura. UNIFIL responded with an urgent protest to Israeli occupation forces, who "denied any activity was taking place inside the UNIFIL position." UNIFIL condemned the IOF’s "deliberate and direct destruction of clearly identifiable UNIFIL property," labeling it "a flagrant violation of international law and Resolution 1701." In the statement, UNIFIL reminded the IOF and "all actors of their obligation to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property and respect the inviolability of UN premises at all times." The statement highlighted that, since September 30, the IOF have repeatedly demanded UN peacekeepers to vacate their positions along the Blue Line "for their safety."
