For four days now, Iranians have been mourning the loss of their President, Ebrahim Raisi, who tragically died in a helicopter crash on Sunday while en route to Tabriz, alongside Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and others. On Thursday morning, millions marched through the eastern city of Birjand to pay their respects to the late President Raisi. As the last part of the funeral ceremony, President Raisi will be buried at the revered Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern city of Mashhad, where he was born.
