Iranian president's last visit to a dam project before helicopter crash

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi was inaugurating a joint dam project with Azerbaijan on the shared border hours before his helicopter made a rough landing in heavy fog on the return journey on Sunday, resulting in the death of the president along with his accompanying delegation. The helicopter carrying Raisi and the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian crashed as it was crossing a mountainous terrain in heavy fog on the way back from a visit to the border with Azerbaijan.
