Israeli bulldozer demolishes mosque in Tayr Harfa, South Lebanon

Circulating footage on social media documented yet another Israeli war crime: the demolishment of a mosque in Tayr Harfa, South Lebanon, by an Israeli bulldozer. Back in October, Israeli occupation forces bombed a mosque in the town of Yaroun, in southern Lebanon, reducing it to rubble. These deliberate acts of destruction of religious sites, part of "Israel's" broader pattern of targeting and demolishing religious sites, are clear violations of international law, particularly the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict with Regulations for the Execution of the Convention. The Convention defines "cultural property" as "(a) movable or immovable property of great importance to the cultural heritage of every people, such as monuments of architecture, art or history, whether religious or secular."
