MP Ricciardi to Parliament: 'You're guilty of shaking Netanyahu ’s bloodstained hand'
In a scathing speech, Italian MP Riccardo Ricciardi accused the government of moral complicity in what he described as “the greatest extermination of this century,” condemning Italy’s silence and support for “Israel” amid the genocide in Gaza. Addressing the government, Ricciardi said, "You are guilty; guilty of knowing, guilty of staying silent, guilty of turning your gaze away while a people was being exterminated. You are guilty of shaking Netanyahu’s bloodstained hand, of politically and economically supporting those carrying out the greatest extermination of this century so far." Citing the words of 21-year-old poet from Gaza, Haidar al-Ghazali, Ricciardi offered a snippet of the horrors Palestinians are being forced to live at the hands of "Israel" and its allies, stating that the crimes in Gaza go beyond genocide, so vast that a word has yet to exist to describe them.
