Palestinian detainees’ harrowing accounts expose brutal conditions in Israeli prisons
A recent investigation by The Washington Post exposed the brutal conditions of “Israel’s” prison system, where Palestinian detainees endure severe torture and degrading treatment. Former detainees described isolation rooms dubbed “Tora Bora” and revealed shocking instances of abuse, including beatings, denial of medical care, and sexual assault. These harrowing accounts, corroborated by autopsy reports, eyewitness testimonies, and recently leaked footage from the Israeli concentration camp Sde Teiman, where Israeli occupation soldiers were seen physically and sexually abusing a blindfolded Palestinian detainee, shed light on the inhumane conditions faced by Palestinians while in Israeli custody. The inhumanity further extends to far-right Israeli settlers, who stormed an Israeli military base to protest the detention of Israeli occupation soldiers involved in the extreme torture of a Palestinian detainee.
