Rep. Scott Perry slams USAID, tells taxpayers: 'You are paying for t3rr0r!sm'
During the annual inaugural session of the Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE), Rep. Scott Perry delivered a scathing critique of US spending in Afghanistan and Pakistan, claiming that nearly $700 million in taxpayer dollars in 2024 alone has funded t3rr0r!sm rather than humanitarian aid. He pointed out that millions in cash shipments continue to flow into Afghanistan, despite the country being ruled by figures linked to extremist groups. Perry also expressed concerns over the $840 million spent on education programs in the last 20 years in Pakistan, specifying that "it includes $136 million to build 120 schools, of which there is zero evidence that any of them were built." He questioned, "Why would there be any evidence? The Inspector General can't get in to see them." Concluding his remarks, he addressed American taxpayers, stating, "You are paying for t3rr0r!sm. This has got to end."
