UN documents Israeli destruction of Gaza City

From a moving UN convoy, UN staffer Louise Wateridge revealed the extensive destruction in Gaza City by Israeli occupation forces, showcasing widespread damage to homes, buildings, and infrastructure. According to a January 2024 World Bank report, "Israel's" war on Gaza has destroyed over 60% of residential buildings and 80% of commercial facilities, displacing nearly all of its 2.3 million residents. The relentless Israeli bombardment has killed more than 40,000 Palestinians and injured over 92,000 others, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza. With hospitals destroyed, roads razed, and efforts to reach the injured hampered by Israeli occupation forces, tens of thousands have laid to rest under the rubble.
