The United States could stop the bloodshed in Gaza if it so wishes, as the Israeli occupation is so dependent on Washington's arms that its onslaught would be brought to a complete halt immediately if that decision is taken. The US accounts for 69% of all Israeli imports of major conventional arms over the four years before the war on Gaza started, and that figure would certainly put a dent in the Israeli war effort.
