Utah governor Cox says he was praying Charlie Kirk killer 'wouldn't be one of us'
Following Charlie Kirk's death, Utah Governor Spencer Cox said he had prayed the suspect “wouldn’t be one of us,” hoping the attacker was an immigrant or someone from another state. He explained that he thought it would “make it easier” to be able to say, “We don’t do that here.” The man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk was named as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, from Utah. Kirk, 31, was fatally shot in the neck on September 10 during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem that drew thousands of attendees.
