Violent clashes erupt between Dutch police and pro-Palestine protesters
In Amsterdam, police cracked down on pro-Palestinian protesters Sunday, arresting over 100 and reportedly using force to disperse the crowd. The demonstrators had gathered in defiance of a ban on protests, imposed after violent street clashes erupted between visiting Israeli football fans and local Dutch youth. The unrest began when several thousand Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, including Israeli soldiers, provoked pro-Palestinian residents and Arabs in the city.
