The Vatican held rosary prayers on Monday, April 21, in St. Peter’s Square to honor the late Pope Francis. Cardinal Mauro Gambetti led the prayers, joined by Sister Raffaella Petrini, President of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State, alongside several clerics and worshippers. According to Vatican News, Pope Francis’ cause of death was confirmed as a stroke, followed by a coma and irreversible cardiocirculatory collapse. The official certification was issued by Dr. Andrea Arcangeli, Director of the Directorate of Health and Hygiene of the Vatican City State, and released by the Holy See Press Office later that evening.
