Wounded fighter Mahdi Khalifeh miraculously regains sight after Israeli airstrike

These words crashed down on Mahdi Khalifeh after an Israeli airstrike on October 23 that left him with severe head injuries, burns, and an infection so grave that doctors removed his right eye. When his left eye also became infected, hope seemed lost. Yet, against all odds, one surgery restored his sight after four months of darkness. When he regained his sight in his left eye, his thoughts turned to those forever blinded by "Israel's" pager attack on Lebanon back on September 17, 2023. “I couldn’t bear four months. There are people who will live the rest of their lives blind,” Mahdi said.
