Toronto International Film Festival to Honor Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain's "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" will premiere at the upcoming 46th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will present Hollywood star Jessica Chastain with the Tribute Actor Award for presenting strong and inspiring roles for women, from the films that have screened at TIFF such as The Debt, Take Shelter, The Martian, Crimson Peak, and Molly’s Game.
Joana Vicente, executive director and co-head of TIFF, claimed that "her recent portrayal of Tammy Faye Bakker is a testament to her exceptional onscreen presence and talent.”
Chastain's upcoming film, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, in which she stars and produces, will also premiere at the festival's 46th edition. Furthermore, the Fox Searchlight film "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" follows the extraordinary rise, fall, and redemption of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker.
