The Israeli agenda for Gaza and the West Bank that everyone is missing
The Gaza ceasefire is a distraction from "Israel’s" deeper strategy: dismantling Palestinian statehood, imposing foreign control, and ensuring permanent occupation under US guidance.

The idea of the Israelis having de-facto control over territory, while it is run by their proxies, in order to manage populations that are not desirable to them, appears to be the goal. (Al Mayadeen English; Illustrated by Batoul Chamas)
The popular discourse on the fate of Gaza’s ceasefire has been dominated by the rhetoric of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with most analysts failing to successfully read the situation in between the lines. These are mainly distractions from the bigger picture.
While some are now fixated on the American threats to “own” Gaza and ethnically cleanse it, with others fearing "Israel" seeks to press play on its genocidal assault once again, both of which are valid concerns, something much more sinister is being conjured up behind the scenes.
As I have explained in greater detail in previous pieces, most of Donald Trump’s proposals for Gaza are more of a sick orientalist fantasy than substantive threats. To “own Gaza” would mean to invade it and totally defeat its Resistance, which would cost thousands of US soldiers their lives and end up costing Washington hundreds of billions of dollars; also likely resulting in failure. Therefore, an invasion is extremely unlikely, would require scrupulous planning, and we just haven’t seen any movement on the logistical side that suggests there is even a coherent plan to carry this out.
However, the threats of ethnic cleansing, which are implicit in the American President’s calls to “clean out” the population of the Gaza Strip, are somewhat connected to reality. The method that the Zionist entity will try to carry this out through is gradual rather than sudden, unless it seeks to invade the Egyptian Sinai and seize a strip of territory to relocate the people into, which could speed things up.
The Trump Trap
When we look at the Israeli and American leaderships, it is a fundamental mistake to assume that they are somehow at loggerheads on the desired end goal for the region. Although there may be a divergence of interests between the allies on short term issues, these are minor when looking at the bigger picture.
As an entry point into this analysis, we must start from the position of assuming that the United States - as the most powerful actor with the most leverage - is working to ensure a future that favours their Israeli ally, but does so in a manner that works to bring about American dominance.
Washington’s sights are set on creating the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor. In order to achieve this, Saudi Arabia must be first forced to normalise ties with the Zionist regime. Yet, the issue of Palestine stands in the way of this.
While the US would be smarter to use its leverage to force the Israelis to accept a so-called “two-State solution” in order to achieve their shared goals, which is what the Biden administration advocated, the reality is that the American government cannot actually force this reality upon the Israelis. Why? Because even if it is in the US national interest, the Zionist Lobby in the United States is simply too powerful.
Therefore, it would take a President who is willing to sacrifice their political career, reputation, and perhaps even their life in a bid to make this happen. When former US President Bill Clinton put forth what were known as the “Clinton parameters” in the negotiations between the Israelis and Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), the plan - which was wildly pro-Israeli and completely ignored international law in many ways to please them - was condemned by the Lobby as imposing the “Auschwitz Borders”.
Donald Trump has neither the courage, nor the interest in the topic - demonstrated by his clear grasp on the realities of the issue - to fight against the Lobby in order to push a truly “America First” position on the issue. So, instead, he has chosen to help the Zionists find a different route to regional domination that works in both Washington’s and Tel Aviv’s interests; or so the Zionists believe.
That route to domination is through destroying the idea of a Palestinian State altogether, redrawing maps and confronting Iran as the “shared enemy” of all US-aligned regimes.
The Palestinians without a Palestine?
As soon as the Gaza ceasefire was implemented - only to truly be respected by Hamas and violated on a daily basis by the Zionist regime - the Israelis instantly launched what they call “Operation Iron Wall” in the northern occupied West Bank.
The goal of this West Bank invasion is to collectively punish the entire populations from which resistance groups have emerged. The Israeli military is destroying homes, streets, imposing curfews, depriving civilians of water and electricity, it is murdering civilians with airstrikes, closing in populations with tanks and gates, while mass arresting anyone who rears their heads in opposition to their terror. This has been done with the aim to scare the people of the territory into submission.
Meanwhile, the United States recently made the decision to de-fund the Palestinian Authority’s Security Forces in the West Bank. It is also clear that the Trump campaign was bankrolled by “Israel’s” richest billionaire, Miriam Adelson, to the tune of 100 million dollars, which Haaretz news reported was granted in return for the President accepting an Israeli annexation of the West Bank. Initially, it appeared as if the Palestinian Authority (PA) would still have been allowed to remain in power inside the territory under such a scenario, which would have likely amounted to an annexation of Area C and parts of Area B, while leaving the PA to rule over the major population centers in Area A/B.
However, the PA appears to have failed its test after it launched an assault against the Palestinian Resistance in the Jenin Refugee Camp for over 40 days, proving itself incapable of dismantling the Jenin Brigades there. Now, it is going to pay the price of losing US financial assistance.
So what does this all have to do with the Gaza ceasefire you may ask? It is simple, if the PA is going to be discarded in the West Bank, there is no way it could take over Gaza. We have repeatedly heard from various members of the Israeli leadership that they don’t want to see the PA takeover the Gaza Strip, which some of them believe will give the PA the legitimacy to start requesting a “Two-State solution” again.
The Zionist entity understands well that the Palestinian people are not going to just pack up and leave, even if some are violently expelled, the majority will remain, therefore their plan is very clear, they want an internationally led force that manages the occupation of the Palestinians for them.
When Netanyahu speaks about removing Hamas from Gaza, his method cannot be through war, because he tried that for 15 months and failed, if he tries again, he will also meet failure too. Instead, we are already seeing his plan in action. He wants to try and keep the ceasefire in place to achieve the result of a frozen conflict, where he can then slowly kill the people of Gaza through continuing to deprive them of shelter, aid, and the means by which to reconstruct the territory.
This scenario is one that aims to make the predicament of the people in Gaza so dire that they seek to achieve an alternative, even if that alternative robs them of autonomy, during which the Zionists will use the Arab regimes and other nations to put together a program to achieve a “post-war” administration.
Donald Trump’s insane, racist and provocative statements, in addition to his recent AI video called “Trump Gaza”, are all about distracting the public, misdirecting the discourse, saving Netanyahu’s political career and also forcing the Arab nations to put together a plan. The idea of ethnically cleansing Gaza is a threat that has been used to intimidate not only Egypt and Jordan, but also Saudi Arabia and the other Arab countries.
It’s an ultimatum from the US, either the Arab leaderships assume responsibility for Gaza and the Palestinians, or Washington will make moves that could collapse their regimes. This is why they suddenly got together and mobilised in order to seek a resolution. That process is now in limbo, as both the Arab leaders and Netanyahu desperately seek to stall the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire’s Phase 2.
The Zionist entity’s usurping of more Syrian territory provides some early insights into their overall thinking. While a “buffer-zone” has long been their goal, it appears as if they seek to create an alliance with two autonomous regimes that it hopes will form and declare independence from the rule of Damascus. It is clear that the Israelis want a Druze State and Kurdish State in Syria, which would be allied with “Tel Aviv” and provide it with influence all the way up to and past the Euphrates. If need be, this could even be an eventual solution to the Druze population living with Israeli citizenships, assuming it would work and wouldn’t be met with resistance from the Syrian Druze population.
The idea of the Israelis having de-facto control over territory, while it is run by their proxies, in order to manage populations that are not desirable to them, appears to be the goal. Therefore, destroying the Palestinian Authority (PA) would mean that Palestine has no seat at the UN, meanwhile they are now destroying UNRWA with the help of their Western allies, which means the agency that registers Palestinian refugee status is being killed. The next step would then be to bring in an external proxy administration/administrations in order to govern the Palestinian people in their bantustans.
This is the best case scenario that the Zionists are hoping for, during which they will pull many tricks and may even seek a direct exchange with Iran. The way to defeat this is through unified regional resistance that will have to put aside all differences to fight the Israelis together. “Greater Israel” is here, the only way out of this is mass popular resistance across the region, the alternative will be decades of occupation and oppression.
