Western leaders have decried Israeli deaths over the past two weeks, although Palestinians have been living through horrific deaths, destruction, and oppression for the past 75 years.

As someone who’s been accused by "Israel" of being a terrorist, who’s lost a cousin to a white supremacist in the 2019 New Zealand terrorist attack, and someone whose extended family lives under brutal Israeli military occupation and has followed the Palestinian issue for decades and the propaganda related thereto, I feel more than qualified to write about the latest rounds of injustice and onslaught against Palestine and its people.

Firstly, it would behoove people to realize – and particularly cheerleaders egging "Israel" to continue its genocide of Palestinians in Gaza- that the conflict didn’t begin when the Palestinian resistance launched its operation against "Israel" on October 7. Palestinians have been living under this illegal Israeli military occupation for decades, denied their most basic human rights, with "Israel" violating countless provisions of international humanitarian law and UN resolutions, as has been well documented by the most renowned human rights organizations globally, which have described "Israel" as an "apartheid state". Legal scholars worldwide refute those who presume "Israel’s" innocence based on its so-called withdrawal from Gaza, as it still controls Gaza’s borders by land, air, and sea, keeping it a de-facto occupation and the world’s largest open-air prison. The 2 million people in Gaza in particular have been collectively punished not only by "Israel’s" illegal blockade for the past 16 years but also for decades before that when "Israel" imposed a blockade by sea after the 1967 war. And yet, after all of this, coupled with the mass killings of thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians over the years resulting from "Israel’s" never-ending assaults and massacres, when the Palestinian freedom fighters finally managed to break out of this open-air prison on October 7, they were roundly condemned by politicians globally. These politicians – who through their indifference to the value of Palestinians’ lives, coupled with their hypocrisy, inaction, and political and military support to "Israel", have emboldened it to continually act with impunity over the years, snubbing international law. They are, in effect, promoting the genocide of the Palestinian people, by regurgitating and blindly parroting the lies of the Israeli propaganda machine. Partners in this crime are the Western mainstream media outlets and social media corporations, who are systematically removing the Palestinian narrative and banning any authentic content from going viral.

Without a shred of evidence, politicians such as Canadian PM Trudeau have accused Hamas of “sexual violence” and violence “against women, children, and elderly people”. Biden, meanwhile, had alleged that they were beheading babies, another false accusation that the White House was forced to back down from. If anything, the few videos that are making it out to the public sphere show the exact opposite: in an interview on Israeli television (ironically), a lady stated that after Hamas fighters entered her home, they promised her safety and left her and her children unharmed. Another lady was released unharmed from Gaza with her two children.

These so-called leaders have decried Israeli deaths over the past two weeks, although Palestinians have been living through horrific deaths, destruction, and oppression for the past 75 years. The double standards are sickening. Accordingly, by dehumanizing the Palestinians (as the Israeli minister of defense did, calling them human animals and denying them food, water, and electricity), these politicians are inciting against the Palestinian people, to desensitize the world from any genocide "Israel" commits. Others, such as British PM Sunak have vowed to provide “unequivocal” support for "Israel" and military backing, jumping on the American bandwagon. Meanwhile, France has even banned all pro-Palestinian protests.

Israeli PM Netanyahu, along with his government of racist, bloodthirsty clowns and the cowardly Israeli military, have failed to defeat the Palestinian resistance fighters and the people of Gaza, and have been roundly humiliated by them. As such, they are attempting to exact revenge on the civilian population of Gaza, as "Israel" routinely does, bombing entire neighborhoods and killing hundreds of children, men, and women.

"Israel" and its enablers in the West have been trying to defeat us, the Palestinian people, for the past 100 years. If the events in Palestine over the last two weeks have shown us anything, it is that they will continue to fail. We are unbreakable.
