The destruction and atrocities we are seeing in Gaza now are especially horrifying only because they are worse than anything we have seen before.
Appeasement in the 1930s ended in World War Two. As we watch the daily destruction of Gaza and the slaughter of its people, men, women and children, the perpetrator of these atrocities is also being appeased.
Palestine had no break for 75 years, while the Western ‘international rules-based order’ watches, does nothing to stop it, and everything to ensure it continues.

The war provoked by the US back in 2014 is being lost. Russia says the outcome is existential, as victory for the US/NATO would begin the breakup of the Russian federation...but the US and NATO also see the conflict as existential.

The murders in and around Nablus and Jenin bring the number of Palestinians killed on the West Bank this year close to 100. Some of the dead are children, others elderly, while the West continues to look the other way.
It is unlikely that the people of Fallujah had ever heard of the Australian who was playing a central role in the destruction of their lives and their city, and the killing of its people, nor would they think of him as some of his compatriots did.
The moral invalidation of the enemy lies at the heart of the propaganda war that always precedes the ‘real’ war.
