On Palestinian Prisoners' Day, observed annually on April 17, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs released alarming figures on the escalating scale of "Israel's" mass detention of Palestinians as of early April 2025. The number of Palestinian political prisoners held by the Israeli occupation has exceeded 9,900, not including thousands abducted from Gaza and subjected to enforced disappearance.

Geoffrey Hinton, the "Godfather of Artificial Intelligence", warns the public about the threats this technology poses to humanity on several different levels as he played a major role in the development process. Other technology giants have also warned about the dangers of AI. For instance, Elon Musk requested companies to put the development process on halt for a period of six months so that they can examine the technology's dangers and work around them.
