170,000 settlers requested unemployment benefits since Oct: Channel 12
Channel 12 reports that 59% of the settlers who applied for unemployment benefits from the Israeli "National Insurance" are aged 20-40.
According to Israeli media, 173,806 Israelis have filed requests to the "National Insurance" to receive unemployment benefits since October 7th, of whom 126,564 have gone on mandatory sick leave.
The Israeli Channel 12 news website reported that since the beginning of December, 12,529 settlers have requested unemployment benefits, and around 9,000 of them have been placed on mandatory sick leave.
Among all applicants for unemployment benefits from the "National Insurance", 59% are aged between 20-40 years, and 39% are aged between 41-67 years, Channel 12 reported.
In early December, Bloomberg reported that Israeli companies are facing shortages across the board due to the deployment of about 300,000 people, or 8% of the workforce, for military service.
The report stated that 57,000 Israeli companies will close their doors this year due to a variety of factors including the diminishing workforce.

Reverse migration
Last week, Israeli media revealed that a significant number of Israelis have departed from Palestine since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7.
According to data from the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority, about half a million Israelis have left the occupied territories, Israeli news website Zman Yisrael pointed out.
During October (from October 7 to October 31), approximately 370,000 Israelis left Palestine, and during November, an additional 139,839 left Palestine.
The website noted that these figures do not include the tens of thousands of foreign workers and diplomats who have left Palestine after October 7 due to deteriorating conditions.
It has also been noted that flights to occupied Palestine have diminished considerably this year as conditions have improved in Ethiopia and, to some extent, in Ukraine.
