A statement issued by Hamas called on the people of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and occupied al-Quds to join the global popular movement scheduled for August 22, 23, and 24 and beyond, and to escalate confrontations and operations against the Israeli occupation forces and Israeli settlers at various points of friction.
The statement also praised the heroic operation near the village of al-Mughayir, east of Ramallah, which resulted in the injury of a settler after a heroic resistance fighter relentlessly attacked him despite his pistol malfunctioning, and then withdrew safely from the area.
A resistance operation took place near the village of al-Mughayir, east of Ramallah in the West Bank, at a location referred to as Malakhi Hashalom, where a Palestinian Resistance fighter attacked a settler after his pistol malfunctioned, assaulting him and inflicting injuries described as serious by Israeli media outlets.
Settler taken in for treatment
Reports confirmed that the settler was transported for medical treatment while the resistance fighter withdrew safely from the area after completing the operation. The operation has generated widespread engagement within Palestinian circles, who view it as an expression of the ongoing resistance in the West Bank.
The movement's statement clarified that this operation reflects the bravery and determination of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and is a response to the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and its settler militias.
Hamas further emphasized that the operation constitutes a "legitimate response to the escalating crimes committed by the fascist occupation and its settler militias against the Palestinian people."
The movement affirmed that "this brutal occupier can never know safety on our land," stressing that the Palestinian people will continue their resistance and their strikes until the land and the holy sites are liberated and the aggression against Palestinians is halted.
