Iran's exports to West Asia hit $7.2 billion in 4 months
In the first four months of 2023, Iran exported 45.4% of its total goods to West Asia, a 4.4% year-over-year (YoY) increase.
Iran's exports to West Asia have topped $7.2 billion in the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), the director of the West Asia Department of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) said.
According to Farzad Piltan, Iran exported goods worth $7.2 billion and weighing 20,850 million tons to West Asia in the first four months of 2023. This represents an increase of 3.8 million tons in weight and $3 million in value compared to the same period in 2022.

China, Iraq, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were the main destinations for Iranian exports to West Asia in the first four months of 2023.
Piltan said that although Iran and Saudi Arabia have restored diplomatic relations, formal and direct trade between the two countries has not yet begun. As a result, there have been no reports of Iranian exports to Saudi Arabia during this time.
