Iran-China trade turnout exceeds $5bln in Q1
From the months of January 2023 to April 2023, trade between the two countries is recorded at $5.230 billion which marks a four percent increase compared to the same timeframe last year.
The value of trade exchanges between Iran and China in the first four months of 2023 is recorded at $5 billion, China's Customs Office said in its latest report.

Exports of goods from China to Iran registered a 46 percent increase compared to the year before. From January to April 2022, the total value of trade exchanges between the two countries registered at over $5.20 billion.

From January to April 2023, imports of Iranian products to China were registered at $1.520 billion, indicating a growth of 39 percent compared to the year prior. From January to April 2022, China imported $2.490 billion worth of products from Iran, the report states.
Although China’s imports from Iran decreased by 39 percent in the first four months this year, mainly due to the oil price slump, China's exports to Iran in this period registered a 46 percent growth and reached $3.710 billion, the report adds.
In the same timeframe of the previous year, China exported $2.530 billion worth of products to Iran.
