Most Tesla's car production in Germany's Berlin will be suspended for almost two weeks due to lack of parts, the company stated on Thursday, citing shipping difficulties due to the situation in the Red Sea.

"The armed conflicts in the Red Sea and the associated shifts in transport routes between Europe and Asia via the Cape of Good Hope are also having an impact on production in Gruenheide," the US-based electric vehicle producer said in a statement.

"The considerably longer transportation times are creating a gap in supply chains."

Following the start of the Israeli war on Gaza, Sanaa announced it would enforce a ban on Israeli and "Israel"-bound ships from crossing the Red and Arabian Seas in support of the people of the Strip, currently facing an Israeli genocide with direct Washington support and complicity.

As per the Yemeni decision, each vessel that passes through the banned seas and fits the criteria will be targeted or captured, and attacks will only stop when the war on Gaza ceases and its people receive sufficient medicine and food.

The Wall Street Journal said in a report that around 80 commercial ships sailed through the Red Sea on Thursday, confirming Sanaa's statement that navigation will be secure and safe for all vessels not included in the ban.

Over 20 shipping companies have so far announced either suspending navigation through the Red Sea or shipments to the Israeli occupation entity.

Most recently, Danish shipping giant Maersk said last week that it is redirecting all its vessels toward the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa and away from the Red Sea.

This came less than two weeks after the firm said that its ships would resume sailing in the strategic water route after a brief pause, citing the launching of the US-led maritime coalition under the Operation Prosperity Guardian initiative.
